Jade Goody evicted from Big Brother house

JADE Goody has been voted out of the Big Brother house following the most controversial week in the show's history.

The 25-year-old has clashed with Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty several times this week, sparking an international race row.

Tonight the pair went head-to-head as the British public voted to decide which of the two celebrities should be evicted from the show.

And, in a telephone vote, the public decided Jade should leave the house.

This week's furore prompted TV bosses to ban potentially angry crowds from confronting Jade.

The former dental nurse had some inkling of the race row raging outside the Big Brother house before tonight's eviction.

The tearful contestant was seen by viewers saying she did not want to be booted out of the house because she had been percieved as a racist.

It is believed that Jade, who will not be taking part in a post-eviction press conference, will be briefed by publicists about the reaction to her clashes with Shilpa before having to face the media.

Shilpa has recently changed her view on the arguments in the house, saying she did not believe Jade was racist.
